Joseph Baines is a senior lecturer in international political economy at King’s College London. His research spans the fields of energy, food, tax, debt, supply chains, and financialization. Beyond his academic articles, he has published papers for the Common Wealth think tank and his analysis has been featured in the Financial Times, The Guardian, and other news media.
