As Director of Advocacy and Policy, Emma Oppenheim oversees Roosevelt's work to support the adoption of progressive economic policymaking.


As Director of Advocacy and Policy at Roosevelt Forward, Emma Oppenheim develops and executes strategies to ensure implementation of a shared agenda of building an economy that works for all.

Prior to joining Roosevelt, Oppenheim was Program Officer for Economic Justice with the Open Society Foundations, where she oversaw grantmaking that sought to constrain corporate power and concentration and build the power of both social movements and government as countervailing forces to private power. Previous employers include BronxWorks; Seedco Policy Center; National Council of La Raza; and NYC Center for Economic Opportunity, Office of the Mayor. Oppenheim earned her MPA in policy analysis and evaluation from Baruch College and her BA in urban studies from Barnard College, Columbia University.
