Meredith leads the media relations strategy to elevate Roosevelt’s worldview, network, and research. Working with a strong team, she develops public messages and oversees the institution’s relationships with media. She brings a decade of journalism, communications consulting, nonprofit, and international economics experience to Roosevelt.
Meredith has had a wide-ranging communications career and education in both journalism and political economy. She was part of USAID’s technical assistance for Liberia’s 2017 presidential elections, organizing an observer mission, working to increase women’s participation in the democratic process, and expanding civic and voter education. She also served as press secretary for the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, where she helped build political coalitions around critical legislation, including the Affordable Care Act.
Meredith holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and a master’s degree in international development from the London School of Economics. She speaks Spanish fluently.
