Rajiv Narayan

Board Treasurer

Rajiv Narayan is a public health lawyer who has worked for the Oakland City Attorney’s office as a Justice Catalyst-Public Rights Project fellow on public health and tenant protection matters and for Gupta Wessler PLLC on consumer protection litigation. In law school, Rajiv was a clinical student with the Harvard Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation, where he worked on multistate policy initiatives, litigation to demand access to necessary medications for incarcerated peoples, and administrative claims to secure health insurance support for gender-affirming care. Prior to law school, Rajiv spent several years at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where he served as special assistant to the commissioner of health. He received his JD cum laude from Harvard Law School and was a member of the Harvard Law Review. Rajiv received his BA summa cum laude from the University of California, Davis, and an MSc with distinction in medical anthropology from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. In college, Rajiv was a member of the Roosevelt Institute Campus Network. He was the Network’s senior fellow for health policy and then served on the alumni board of advisors following graduation.
