Christie George

Board Chair

Christie George is the former president of New Media Ventures and is one of the country’s leading experts on investing in mission-driven startups. She has overseen investment into more than 80 nonprofits and for-profits, and has 20 years of experience consulting and advising institutions on strategy and organizational development.

Christie started her career at a startup, spent six years managing sales and marketing for Women Make Movies, and is a co-founder of Louder (acquired by Change.org). She currently advises foundations, family offices, and organizations on impact investing. Christie is a proud board member of Roosevelt Forward and Indivisible.

She holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA with distinction from the University of Oxford, where she was a Skoll Scholar and graduated with the Said Prize.
