Phoebe is a great-granddaughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.  She holds an MA in American History from Columbia University, as well as a JD from the Fordham University School of Law, where she was a Stein Scholar in Public Interest Law and Ethics.  She has been a high school American history teacher, and was an attorney with the Affirmative Litigation division of the New York City Law Department for 7 years, after serving for a year as a law clerk in the Southern District of New York.  Right now she is taking time away from the workplace to volunteer and to be with her family.
