The Roosevelt Institute just launched Roosevelt Forward, our new 501c4 partner organization, to expand Roosevelt’s impact and our ability to rewrite and reimagine our nation’s social and economic rules so they work for all. It’s also the new home of the Roosevelt blog.
Roosevelt Forward, a project of the Advocacy Fund, provides a platform to build on the amazing work by Roosevelt staff, Fellows, network members, and allies over the past few years. Together we set out a bold and comprehensive policy agenda, Rewriting the Rules, to level the economic playing field for America’s families. We pushed this agenda further with the release of Rewrite the Racial Rules and Untamed last month. And our network of emerging leaders continues to elevate the voices of young Americans into our national debate through our Next Generation Blueprint.
If you look to the Roosevelt Institute for thoughtful policy ideas and analysis and the latest from our network of thinkers and doers, which ranges from Nobel laureate economists to the next generation of leaders: Don’t worry; that is still central to our mission. We are, first and foremost, a think tank, and as a think tank, we are dedicated to making sure our ideas have impact.
While we have no intention of ever endorsing candidates or playing in political races, Roosevelt Forward expands our reach and allows us to have a greater voice in the economic and social debates happening in the lead-up to Election Day. After all, it wasn’t just bold ideas and policies that allowed Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt to transform America. They also brought people together, often in the cauldron of real political fights, to shape our national dialogue and move our nation forward.
Thank you for all that you do.
